DRISHTI is a technical club of SVNIT and is comprised of a bunch of inquisitive members from various branches aims at encouraging curious minds to build up their technical aspect in a constructive manner and enhancing their social quotient by providing a real-time opportunity to work as a team in a healthy competitive environment where everyone is free to frame his viewpoint in reality. DRISHTI is a constant representative in various National and International competitions like ABU Robocon, Indian Rover Challenge and Boeing Aeromodelling.
Did you ever wonder how ISRO launched 104 satellites in one go? Are you curious about how Aeroplanes fly? Does seeing a drone fly drags you to a question-how is it so stable!!!? what is the science behind? These are the very questions where we started our journey at Drishti and came forward to study, implement, and share the knowledge about Aerodynamics and Aerospace. As we all know that aerospace is one of the rapidly growing sectors and countless researches are going on in space and rocket technology.
Team DRISHTI is also trying to learn and spread knowledge about Aerodynamics and Aerospace. We at Drishti started working on Quadcopter and RC Planes. Team Drishti is working on the development of a control system (Flight Controller) for Quadcopter. We have been working on RC Plane and had recorded number of successful flights. To test our knowledge and implementation, Team GARUDA, Drishti participated in Boeing Aeromodelling Competiton, TechFest IIT, Bombay, and qualified for Round 2. The final aim is to automate the RC Plane using our own control system. We also launched a Single Stage Solid Propellant (J Class Rocket Motor). Ornithopter, Howercopter, and Magnus Plane were other projects we worked on.
